Our Vision and Values
Lady Elizabeth Hastings is a Church of England school, having at its heart the Christian faith but we welcome all families of every faith and those of no faith.
Our vision underpins all that we do:
Our new vision and values have been launched in Summer term 2026. These have been formed through consultation with children, parents, staff, governors and members of our church school community. They show what we do, what we want to be and how we do it!
We have designed a logo with symbols to depict each of our values, rooted in love and faith:
Be kind - a heart symbol with sits at the base of the cross. The foundations and roots of all that we do; love, kindness, compassion, care and respect.
Be curious - a magnifying glass looking out at the world. Curiosity is the magic of awe and wonder as we learn and grow.
Be proud - this is humble pride, respect, thankfulness and love, symbolised by the rays of sunlight; it shows the pride in ourselves and each other, in our community, in all that we see, all that we share and all that we do.
These values all surround the cross, a symbol of our faith which is at the heart of all that we do.
The circle symbolises that everyone is welcome here; we want everyone to belong here.
Through these values, every child can aspire to be the best that you can be.
Our vision and values are rooted in love and faith underpinned by the belief that:
"Anything is possible with faith in God" (Mark, 9:23).
